Drone Agricultural Services

Bristol Drones offers a professional aerial agricultural service that is affordable, efficient, and high-quality. No matter how unique your project is, Bristol Drones will complete it to the high standard you need.

How Agricultural Drone Services Work

Our drone agricultural service is easy to use and 100% professional. Bristol Drones will work closely with you to plan your project from start to finish, delivering a high-quality service that meets your unique needs and expectations.

Once on site, we will complete your project efficiently. You are welcome to work with us on the day, or simply hand the reins over to us — it’s up to you.

The final data can be delivered as surface or orthomosaic models, normalised difference vegetation index (NDVI) images, and 3D models. You and your team can then use the data to better understand and improve your crop management — simple and easy.

What Are The Benefits Of Aerial Agriculture?

There are lots of benefits of using drones for your agricultural needs. These include:

Better Crop Management

Drone agricultural monitoring gives farmers and landowners a comprehensive aerial view of fields. This helps you better track crop health and growth so you can quickly and easily spot problem areas to resolve.

Increased Productivity

Using a drone agricultural service can also boost your crop yield and productivity too. By providing accurate and up-to-date terrain maps of your fields, which in turn can be used to optimise your crops. This both increases productivity whilst keeping crop management costs down.

3D Models

Bristol Drones’ aerial agricultural service provides precise 3D models of your field terrain. These 3D maps will mean you can better structure and manage your crops for optimal growth patterns.

NDVI Data

All photos and videos taken with our dedicated farm drones generate normalised difference vegetation index (NDVI) data. This helps you monitor crop health, manage nitrogen levels, optimize fertiliser usage, and ensure effective distribution of pesticides and water.

FAQs

What is a drone?

Also known as an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), drones are remote-controlled aircraft piloted by an operator on the ground. Drones are used for a variety of purposes, from aerial agriculture and surveys to panoramic photography and recreational purposes.

Are your drones insured?

Every drone in our fleet is completely insured, and are operated by fully-insured and trained pilots. Bristol Drones has up to £10 million public liability cover.

Can your drones fly in bad weather conditions?

Our fleet cannot currently operate in strong winds or heavy rain. Some drones can operate in light wind or rain at speeds of up to 27mph. However, this does increase the chances of raindrops obscuring the camera lenses.

Can your drones operate at night?

Bristol Drones is fully certified to operate our drone fleet at night, both for aerial agriculture and other purposes. We use drones equipped with nighttime technology to get the highest-quality photos and video possible.

How long can your drones stay in the air for?

The drones in our fleet can operate for up to 30 minutes on standard conditions on a single battery charge. However, Bristol Drones always packs sufficient spare batteries to operate for a full day.
